Sunday Morning Live will host Lori Diamond and Fred Abatelli www.loridiamond.net September 25th. for a Season Finale of the Summer Music Series.
When listening to the performance of Lori and Fred one cannot help but notice
the undeniable chemistry between these two as they feed off one another's emotions
to create a magic which takes their music to yet another level rarely achieved by musicians.
A winner of several awards, Lori has also been the subject of many music reviews of which the following excerpt in Pulse Magazine by Paul Maher Jr. perhaps says it best:
There’s a new vice on the horizon, and it goes by the name of Lori Diamond. One listen to her and her rare talent for bridging sentiment with angst and you’ll be mainlining Sphinxian riddles straight into the joy switch in no time. These songs respectively cut a facet of precision conveying Diamond’s impressionistic, lush piano playing coupled with honey-coated vocal stylings. Heaven must be near; or is it sex on legs, the feminine presence divine fills your living room, or your car, or your headphones . . . it made me go to her web site to see what she looks like, and there she is, too respectable looking to match the voice that offers up knee-weakening soul-ballads that may just be responsible for long afternoons of lovin’.
Let Lori bring it on to house and hearth, her songs are homewreckers ~ torrid, sexy and elegantly subtle, perhaps akin to the seductive charms of the mythical Sirens. She is also an amalgam of the best of female musical talent this century and the last has had to offer ~ Watch her! She’s about to get big and when she does, you’ll be able to proudly say you’ve been listening to her from the start.
Paul is right, Lori and Fred are about to emerge as top recording artists with yet another CD about to be released on October 22nd. "TRUE " and another to follow already in the works.
SUNDAY MORNING LIVE WELCOMES JUDY C WITH JOE KESSLER ON VIOLIN, SEPT. 18th. DURING A BREAKFAST BUFFET BY THE SEA
A regular on the New England folk circuit, Judy C's guitar and haunting vocals have stirred emotions at many venues in the Boston area. She draws on a wealth of inspirations from Led Zeppelin to Crosby, Stills and Nash, blending them into her own ethereal sound which suggests Celtic balladry and eastern modality.
She recently released her debut CD, "444", a moving collection of songs about empowerment and spirituality. The CD features a wonderful group of musicians including Dave Mattacks on drums, Richard Gates on bass, Chris Rival on electric guitar, and Ian Kennedy on violin. It's a blend of both full band songs and acoustic songs, with Judy's own acoustic guitar work. The songs on the CD are from different times in the singer/songwriter's life. Expressing both the emotions from those times and different musical influences.
Joe Kessler's career began with his 1st public performance at age 9 playing classical violin. By the age of 17 he expanded his repertoire to include klezmer, folk, bluegrass, balkan, jazz, rock and pop. Joe has performed in over 10 countries on 3 continents.
